Project Description: Mt. Adams is a unique community close to downtown with spectacular views of Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. The area is known for its diverse history and charm, with a host of businesses and eateries, and architectural styles ranging from Victorian to ultra modern. The Palisades is a new luxury condominium development that sits on a prime location with a very steep site. The design for this building cascading down a hill created unique code problems. Preview worked with the architect to prepare appeals associated with the height of the building, thereby gaining approval for a significant new addition to the urban landscape.

Services Provided: Peer Review – QA/QC
Project Description: The Hayes is a new, contemporary residential building containing 128 condominium units, featuring underground parking, a fitness center, rooftop deck, and easy access to nearby shopping, dining and cultural venues. Preview assisted the design team with construction document quality assurance by performing a peer review of the construction documents.

Project Description: Built in 1927, the Ahwahnee Hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the premier national park hotels. This project involves a comprehensive rehabilitation of the structure in order to increase the life safety, accessibility and functionality of the hotel while still preserving its historic fabric. Preview performed a set of parallel code analyses using various National Park code standards, NFPA documents and the California State Historical Building Code. Preview also worked with the National Park Service, the hotel concessionaire and the design team to determine how each of these code documents would be applied to the project.

Services Provided: Fire Protection & Design Code Consulting
Project Description: Opened in 2007, Latitude on the River is a new 44-story residential building with 452 luxury condominiums offering expansive views of the historic Miami River and the downtown Miami skyline. With the adjacent 23-story Latitude One tower, residents are offered a mixed-use community Latitude on the River features a 40 x 35 foot promenade with an illuminated wave ceiling above the ground floor of the property connecting the two buildings. Preview services on the project included working with the construction management team on fire, life safety and MEP reviews in both the design and construction phases.
