Project Description: Crossroads is an interdenominational church with a growing membership. Housed in a beautifully renovated building that was once a big-box hardware store, the church grew enough that it needed to add a new sanctuary space. Working with the architect, Preview facilitated an appeal for inclusion of interior design elements that served to soften the environment and afforded a more human scale for a very large assembly space.

Project Description: St. Peters in Chains is a Greek revival structure completed in 1845. Its striking single spire, which soars to two-hundred and twenty feet above street level, is constructed of pure white limestone. The seat of the Archdiocese suffered significant smoke damage from a small fire because there was no detection or alarm system. Preview worked with the Archdiocese to design, gain approval for, and install a smoke sampling detection system.

Project Description: With nearly 1,000 member families and a history dating back to 1875, Temple Sinai has occupied a long-standing place in the Oakland area. In 2006, plans were undertaken for a major expansion of the synagogue facilities, including minor renovations to the existing meeting hall, and the addition of a new chapel as well as a new building housing a pre-school and other educational facilities. Preview provided a code analysis and accessibility review using the 2007 California Building Code which was newly adopted at the time the design started.
