Services Provided: Design Code Consulting
Project Description: The Medical Science Building is a teaching laboratory and medical research facility. Upgrading the existing building involved construction of two major additions and the integration of several buildings into a mega-structure with interconnected systems. Compliance issues included finishing the addition to use as swing space for the laboratory spaces during renovation. Preview worked with the design team and the University to prepare appeals and gain the cooperation of numerous governmental entities.

Services Provided: Accessibility Peer Review – QA/QC
Project Description: The Peninsula Medical Clinic is a new multi-story clinical services building that is part of a medical campus serving a new hospital. Preview provided quality assurance peer review of the accessibility aspects of the construction documents for the tenant improvements to this building, focusing on compliance with state and federal access regulations. Preview also provided the client and the design architect with a list of necessary compliance measures.

Project Description: This federal project involves the production of schematic design phase design criteria documents to be used as “bridging documents” for bidding by a design/build contractor. Preview provided consulting on the design criteria for the applicable building code and accessibility regulations.

Project Description: Clinton Memorial Hospital (CMH), part of the CMH Regional Health System, is a 150-bed medical/surgical acute care hospital founded in 1951. CMH provides an array of medical services, including state-of-the-art cardiac care, and advanced cancer, respiratory therapy and surgical services. In response to design issues associated with the new wing at CMH, Preview provided design evaluations and on-site inspections. Preview continues to work with CMH to support its Joint Commission (JCAHO) accreditation through on-site inspections for compliance with life safety requirements.
